Meet Our Team

Hi, I am Marc Cox and I am extremely proud to be the Deputy Head Teacher at Kestrel House School. I am highly passionate about working with young people with ASD having worked for the past 17 years with children and adults with SEND. My main role is to ensure pupils make the best possible progress towards their EHCP outcomes throughout their time at Kestrel House School. This has included creating the Nest to Flight Progression Framework, which focuses on the development of important life skills aimed at young people with a diagnosis of Autism. I am also one of the deputy safeguarding leads; promoting pupil’s welfare as well as making sure the school is Health and Safety compliant. You will also find me in class supporting our learners to access the Kestrel House School curriculum, which is the best part of my job.

My role involves overseeing the wellbeing of our learners and ensuring they receive the right support in order to achieve at their maximum potential. I co-ordinate with the therapists in our Wellbeing Team to provide timely personal support interventions as required. I support the Class Communities to create a positive behavior approach for each of our learners.
Families can come to me to discuss their children’s behavior, personal development, and safeguarding.
